Eurovision Song Contest

As many of you know here in Europe we celebrate an annual song contest. Over the many years we've won 2 times, latest time was in 1995 with the song Nocturne. It is a very special song and I think everybody all ages like that song.:o) Probably why it won.

In my country we call the contest Melody Grand Prix and mostly families with young ones and gay guys watch the show. Mostly because it has become such a show off thing, not entirely the song contest it used to be.

Anyway, here is the song we won with (first) then the song we will contribute with this year. Tone, the singer in this year's song, was in our Idol show but she didn't win. Still she's got a record contract and is now ready for the show in May.:o)

The "Nocturne" is a very beautiful song. I listen to it often.

Laura: you do? How did you come across this song? I just didn't think people remember it or have heard of it, so I was a bit surprised.:o)

Brian: thanks for comenting on my blog. I totally agree on the English part, but I think that we should make the songs in the mother languages. Like we did in the old times, before the rule was changed.:o) I will sure listen to Esperanto and see what it is. I have never heard of it before and I got curious.:o)

Well, I think I know Secret Garden since that year when they won the Eurovision contest with "Nocturne". Then somebody sent me their album "Songs from the secret garden" which I like very much. They are good. :)

Laura: Aha, I see.:o) I think they create a mood with their music that I love very much. I can get goose bumps from this kind of music.
Do you know of a film by Ivo Caprino - Pinchcliffe Grand Prix? The music from that film also gives me that feeling. Draup played a tiny bit of it.
