This was taken one the flight down to Tallinn. Beautiful sight.
Beautiful cathedral.
The government building.
Everything is so medieval, even the cobblestone roads.
And the street lamps. Wonder how old these are.
At a café on day one. A very nice and old café with very good coffee.
A dow had moved in on a carpet where there was now snow falling on it. The next day when we passed the exact same spot the pigeon was still there! LOL!
The towns best restaurant is Olde Hansa. A very medieval styled tavern with the best food and beer.
We had dark honey beer and also tried the dark cinnamon beer. Very tasty.
For dinner Frode tried the bear and I had the rabbit (which was a hare and not a rabbit at all). It was soooo good. I did taste the bear and the rabbit was by far the best in my opinion. =)
They also served wild boar and elk for those who wanted that. =)
The toilettes were even the old fashioned style, almost like the wooden ones outside at a cabin. This is the sink and the water pot. The little cup on the right is the soap dish.
They used only candle light to light up the toilette and the washing room. Very atmospheric. =)
The toilette was a water closet but looked like a hole in the bench at first glance!
This is the toilette paper holder.
And the doors were wooden with real iron work as henches and hooks. Very autentic looking.
When we came it was no snow, but the first day it snowed a lot. About 10cm covered the ground at the end of the day, creating a magical atmosphere in the town at night.
The church tower in the night, almost eerie...
The tower at night.
And the cathedral at night.
Me at a bench, just wanted to have a picture of me on the untouched bench in the snowy night. =)
Another tower at night.
Church tower the next day with the sun up.
The tower at daylight.
And a beautiful walk way with trees alongside. =)
This was this years trip abroad, now our dear puppy will soon arrive at the house. <3 <3 <3
