Thanks to all the suggestions, I like them all!The reason why I have chosen Pokey is that it describes the snail in more than one way: if it's inside it's house and you touch it or lift it up, insdead of staying protected inside the house it comes out to have a looksee! Like "hey, what's going on out there?" Not very clever when you are one of the main dishes for a lot of animals. So SLOW is a perfect description.
